FAQs
How much is registration? What does it include?
Registration is $25 for attendance only or $60 for attendance. We have a discounted rate of $10 for students.
Registration fees include the optional Thursday evening pre-conference, the Friday full-day conference including Friday evening social event, as well as meals and refreshments.
Is there a virtual way to attend the conference?
No, we are only offering in-person attendance.
What's new this year?
We've added a Poster Previews & Lightning Talks session on Thursday evening (4 PM), right before our networking dinner.
Can I submit a poster?
Yes!! The CTGCA Planning Committee is seeking high-quality abstracts for poster presentation. Suggestions for submission: original research, case reports, quality improvement projects, thesis projects and other topics of interest to the genetic counseling community.
This Year: Abstract submissions may elect to be considered for "Lightening Round" 5-minute oral presentations at the Thursday Evening Pre-Conference Event and for the 2026 Outstanding Abstract Award
What's a Lightning Talk?
When you submit a poster abstract, you can opt in to give a ~5-minute lightning talk. These are designed to be a quick, informal way to walk the room through your project before the full poster session. It's optional, beginner-friendly, and a great way to get your work in front of colleagues. Prefer to skip the mic? You can still present your poster as usual.
We added this format to create more opportunities for members to share their work and connect early in the conference!
Deadline for abstracts is September 11th.
